Methodology
Listings are sourced from public state electrical and contractor licensing board records, then added to the directory with a checked license status and verification date. Sample size and collection period
1185 approved listings across 40 states and 223 cities. License checks for the current listing set were completed between 2026-07-18 and 2026-09-18.
License verification coverage
- 100% of listings (1185 of 1185) have a checked state license.
- Of those, 97.8% (1159 of 1185) have a published license number on their profile, the rest are checked but the number itself isn't shown publicly.
Profile completeness
License status is verified for every listing, but other profile fields vary in how complete they are, largely because most of them are filled in by a business only after it claims its listing.
- 17.6% of listings (209 of 1185) have years-in-business documented.
- 98.2% have a phone number, 47.5% have a website on file.
